Course Overview:
This is a survey of the visual elements and design principles used in two-dimensional art & design. Projects should explore these concepts and their connection thoroughly.

Course topics include concepts of two-dimensional art and design as they apply to line, shape, value, texture, color, space, repetition, variety, rhythm, balance, emphasis, scale, proportion, and unity.

As we progress through the course, I will go over each assignment at the beginning of class. Should you ever need to go back over the assignment or you wish to print it out and keep it in your sketchbook, use the links under the Assignments heading.

We will have some readings and responses throughout the semester, these will also be placed on the page marked Readings.
